Well, see for yourself: GK Miami

And, there is the new "right hand" to the President of Volkswagen Group Latin America, at the Miami HQ ... VW

"German section"

("that's history")

Well, one major thing about my work in Bonn is this famous "Informationstechnikrahmenkonzept" - I am responsible to put it together. That's how it looks from the outside:

It has 472 pages, and I am not quite sure who reads it.

Apart from that, call us "problem solving center", trying to foster co-operation. If you look at any computer in the FFO, you see a drop of my heartblood spent in its configuration.

"Paraguayan section"

("that's even more 'history'")

Some 100 events a year, bigger ones, smaller ones. Biggest were (and is every year) the traditional Christmas Concert of the German Embassy with the Symphony Orchestra of Asunción - in December 95 in front of the Cathedral, in December 96 inside -, the grants for the construction of a graphics cabinet called "Florian Paucke" in the Museo del Barro and for the remodelling of the exposition and conference hall of the German-Paraguayan Cultural Institute, and - last but not least - the visit of our boss Klaus Kinkel to Paraguay (triggered some 80 newspaper clips). Inaugurations and visit took place in May 96.

To give an example, a project I liked very much last year (1995) was an exposition on the composer Carl Orff, celebrating his 100th birthday, combined with a workshop for teachers on his Schulwerk (music for children). The exposition featured some 58 photographs with texts on his life and work under the title TODO ES FANTASIA - ALL IS FANTASY, taken from his work Astutuli. It took place in the German-Paraguayan Cultural Institute in Asuncion, and has travelled to the German-Paraguayan Cultural Center in Encarnación. The picture below shows a German commemoration stamp with a rendition of the Wheel of Fortune, which I had blown up to 60x80cm to be able to use it as a poster.

I just loved to organize events like this one with the German-Paraguayan Cultural Institute.

Who is it shaking hands with the President of Paraguay?

Public Relations can mean you publish an information brochure (on paper and in the net).

There is more about my work in the embassy homepage, actually the homepage itself is also my work (attention: it's "business", i.e. German and Spanish only).
